French coach Zinedine Zidane fell into tears after being named the godfather of one of the associations for children with cancer in France.

And Zizou appeared, barely holding back tears, in a video clip that went viral in the media and social networks.

It happened during the opening ceremony of a home for children at the end of their lives this Monday in Istres, Bouches-du-Rhone region, France, as a “patron”.

The French football legend seemed very excited during his speech on the occasion, addressed to a local charity that works for children with cancer and accompanies families during the mourning after the tragedy.

The French football legend said: “It’s a bit difficult for me because I have healthy children. I am proud to be able to sponsor your project (…) You have chosen the right person.”

Zidane spoke about the pain of his parents after the loss of his brother. “I will fully support you and will do everything in my power to support this project and all these families,” he concluded.

In turn, the association Le Point Rose, through its Facebook account of Zinedine Zidane, is an exceptional sponsor for agreeing to support her project (…), calling him an exceptional person and emphasizing that she appreciates him for his cordial qualities more than his huge talent.

Le Point Rose was created in 2015 by Nathalie Paoli, former press officer of Marseille Football Club, who lost her daughter Carla Marie at the age of nine due to a brain stem tumor.
