Isinbayeva announced her intention to resume her work in the Athletes’ Committee of the International Olympic Committee in September. She also shared on the social networking site VKontakte that every athlete in Russia, like in any other European country, belongs to a sports club. Isinbayeva mentioned her previous affiliation with the Moscow club CSKA, where she received prestigious awards.
Charitable Work
Isinbayeva highlighted her philanthropic efforts, including the establishment of her own charitable foundation. The foundation focuses on developing sports among youth and children with special needs. Isinbayeva mentioned that they have built over 90 sports grounds, organized athletics competitions, identified talented children, and equipped orphanages with sports equipment.
Change of Residence
In addition, Isinbayeva made the decision to relocate to the Canary Islands in Spain even before this recent controversy.
