US Stock Indices Fall Amid Dollar Gains

US stock indices experienced a decline in trading on Wednesday due to the rise in the dollar index. Both the Standard & Poor’s 500 and Nasdaq indices recorded their poorest performance in months.

Dow Jones Index

The Dow Jones index closed down 0.32% at 33,035.93 points on Wednesday, according to Bloomberg data.

Standard & Poor’s 500 Index

The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index ended the day at 4,186.77, marking a 1.43% decrease. This is its lowest level since late May last year.

Nasdaq Index

The Nasdaq Index settled at 12,821.23, down 2.43% on Wednesday. This session marked its worst performance in approximately 5 months.
