The Korea Importers Association announced today, Tuesday, that association president Kim Byung-kwan met with Saudi Ambassador to Seoul Sami Al-Sadhan, where they discussed ways to expand trade between the two countries.
Kim Byung Kwan explained that it is not easy to export and import agricultural and marine products at a time when a free trade agreement with Saudi Arabia has not yet been signed, expressing hope that trade between the two countries will expand this year.
He referred to the holding of the seventh round of free trade agreement negotiations in Riyadh, asking Saudi Arabia to make efforts to resolve the problems that member companies face due to the difficulties of the contracting process and obtaining permits required for exports and imports. operations in Saudi Arabia.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Sadhan promised effective cooperation to facilitate the entry of companies from the two countries into their markets. He expressed his hope to maintain stable and sustainable relations between the two countries through the NEOM urban project.
It is worth noting that the NEOM city is a project to build a new futuristic city in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, sponsored by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.
