Spain will spend 7.5 million euros to prepare to host the 2030 World Cup
Moscow, December 20 – The Spanish government has allocated €7.5 million to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to prepare a bid to host the 2030 World Cup.
Earlier, the football federations of Spain and Portugal included the Ukrainian Football Federation in a joint bid to host the World Cup.
“The FIFA World Cup is over, and now Spain is preparing for the 2030 tournament, which our country claims include Portugal and Ukraine. This trio is eager to fight. We are a good team, and we are confident in our application. The money allocated is intended to boost Spain’s nomination.
It is noteworthy that the money will be used to promote the candidacy of Spain as host of the tournament in the country and other countries. In addition, it is planned to establish an office for coordinating and developing infrastructure.
Morocco also announced, jointly with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Greece, jointly with Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile, to organize the tournament in 2030.
The Spanish national team stopped at the World Cup in Qatar in the final stage 1/8, losing to the Moroccan national team (0: 0, 0: 3 – on penalties).
