Neurologist Ekaterina Demyanovskaya has provided an explanation on how magnetic storms and solar eclipses can impact human health.

Effects on the Nervous System

According to Demyanovskaya, these natural phenomena have an effect on the nervous system, and individuals with weather sensitivity may experience disruptions in their autonomic nervous system.

She explains, “Weather factors are believed to induce subtle changes in the body by affecting the autonomic nervous system. As a result, even individuals in good health may experience heightened stress, increased anxiety, and heightened sensitivity to physical influences during geomagnetic storms or a solar eclipse.”

Impact on Blood Vessels and Blood Clotting

Demyanovskaya notes that changes in the geomagnetic field can influence the condition of blood vessel walls and blood clotting.

She states, “This can lead to a slowdown in blood flow within capillaries and an increase in pressure within joints, eyes, and the skull. Consequently, individuals sensitive to geomagnetic storms may complain of high or low blood pressure, dizziness, headaches, and pain. Approximately 70 percent of strokes, heart attacks, high blood pressure, and heart attacks occur during geomagnetic storms.”

Dangers of Solar Eclipses

According to the neurologist, individuals with conditions such as cardiac arrhythmia, osteoporosis, neuromuscular diseases, and kidney diseases are at risk during solar eclipses.

She emphasizes, “The speed of the eclipse is a determining factor. The faster the eclipse, the greater its impact on individuals at risk.”
