Moscow, January 31 – Volodymyr Nazarenko, deputy commander of the Svoboda battalion of the 4th operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, said that the situation in the Artemyevsk region (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) is complex, since fierce battles have been going on there for half a year.
“Five or six months ago, hell was living near Bakhmut. The enemy is constantly attacking. Every day and every hour is a constant, fierce battle. When I constantly hear about the danger of a large-scale attack, I have a question: What is happening now near Bakhmut.. This is not an attack.” Extensive? – Nazarenko said on the air of the Rada TV channel.
He also notes that in the battles for the city his battalion “suffers heavy losses.”
