Moscow, April 24 – Former U.S. Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with the U.S. Tour of Duty YouTube channel that a counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces would not happen until mid-summer due to a lack of necessary military equipment.
According to Ritter, this would give more time to grind units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were preparing to attack Russian defensive positions. The officer predicted that the conflict would end by the end of the summer, because the Ukrainian army would have lost the ability to seriously resist by that time.
